In this presentation, we will discuss the collective personalities of each generation inhabiting our workforce and learn to understand how our shared life experiences shape our perception of the world around us. Dana has a broad 30-‐year career background with a mix of human resources, operations, and marketing. Dana has worked in a diverse range of industries including hospitality, retail, telecommunica+ons, construction, petroleum distribution and sales, manufacturing and healthcare.
Inspired by her grandfather (some might say drafted), Dana began working in the family-owned businesses at the tender age of 11. At this young age, she learned the essentials of running successful travel, motor coach, real estate investment and agricultural equipment manufacturing businesses. After graduating from Purdue University, Dana pursued a corporate career path with companies such as Opryland Hotel and Verizon Wireless, but never lost touch with her entrepreneurial spirit. In 2007, she founded Synergy Consulting and in 2014 co-founded The Idea Group HR. Her purpose in founding The Idea Group HR is to align human resources and marketing practices and strategies. Marketing informs customers of “What” you do and Human Resources ensures “How” the “What” gets done.
