Effective leaders collaborate, and people who collaborate more are viewed as leaders. The ability to collaborate requires leaders to encourage teamwork and respectful relationships. The best sign of a respectful relationship is getting all of the information out in the open so it can be discussed. In 1 on 1’s and in teams strategic silence can be used to gain more information and help the others come up with even better ideas. Even though T&D professionals are collaborative in nature, this program also provides the research that backs it up. This is great information that translates to your leadership trainings! Join Dr. Laura Janusik to learn and practice some of the basic skills of strategic silence.
