Coaching and Training Go Together Like PB and J

Learn how coaching shifts the demand and effectiveness of

training programs

Are you responsible for creating and deploying training activities within your organization? What if you could amplify the results of your training by adding coaching? Organizations that deploy coaching in conjunction with training show better results in employee development, skill building and learning retention.

In some cases, coaching can help you uncover the critical training needs and shape the best way to deliver the learning so you can be even more efficient and impactful.

Join Laura Camacho, PhD for an engaging hour where she’ll share stories from the trenches (Laura has coached over 2,000 high performers in leading (Forbes 100)  technology, consumer goods and finance companies in the US, Latin America, and Europe) about how professional lives are transformed through communication coaching and how the best leaders build a culture of coaching.

What if you could:

  • Learn how to incorporate coaching into your training programs
  • Translate coaching investments into ROIs
  • Get buy-in and support from team members, employees, and leadership to ensure that your coaching-related initiatives get put into action?

In this session you'll learn:

  • What a coaching culture looks like
  • Case studies and best practices that you can adapt and put into practice
  • Best use cases for training versus coaching
  • ROI of training versus coaching
  • Ways to add coaching to your leadership practice

Speaker

Laura Mixon Camacho, PhD

Laura Mixon Camacho, PhD, is obsessed with helping people enjoy more productive conversations. A certified introvert, Laura believes all communication should be compelling and carried out with style and enthusiasm.

Given that today’s professionals are all overworked, overwhelmed, and exhausted, crafting a compelling message to reach them is a much-needed service to humanity. Great conversations also build culture. A healthy culture builds sustainable profitability.

Laura has coached over 2,000 high performers in leading (Forbes 100)  technology, consumer goods and finance companies in the US, Latin America, and Europe. She also works with clients in the Charleston area, from start-ups to nonprofit organizations to schools.

She spent 10 years in academia and lived abroad in 3 different countries. Laura loves living in Charleston and creates quirky, interactive and intense communication workshops and privately coaches executives to be more influential. She is a member of the Forbes Council of Coaches and a communication expert resource for the San Francisco-based BetterUp.

She is also author of the Cultured Communication Workbook.

Laura’s area of research is political influence, having written her dissertation on the political rhetoric of former Venezuelan president, Hugo Chavez. In 2009, she founded Mixonian Institute. For more info visit www.mixonian.com.
