Uvette (Vette) Pope-Rogers CPA, CGMA
Vette is an accounting professional with over 23 years of experience. She is a certified public accountant and credentialed as a chartered global management accountant. Vette started her career as a public accountant, where she audited mostly state government agencies and nonprofits. She then served as the assistant controller and controller for 9 years at the SC Education Lottery, before moving into her current career path within the nonprofit sector.
For close to 10 years, Vette sereved as the CFO at Children’s Trust of SC, a quasi-state non-profit organization. During her tenure at Children’s Trust, she managed the finance, IT, human resources, and operation - overseeing revenue growth from $3 million to $20 million.
Over the past ten years, Vette has provided support on a contractual basis to various non-profits, encompassing financial, information technology, and operations on a part-time basis, and more recently transitioning to provide these services full-time as the new principal of UR Consulting Services, LLC.
Vette lives in Columbia, SC with her family. She is married to Warren, and they have four children and a dog. Vette is originally from Andrews, SC and she received her undergraduate degree from Francis Marion University where she was commissioned as an Army officer, serving for 5 years.
Vette has completed 11 half marathons an looks forward to completing her next 11.
