Trends in Executive Development

During this session we will learn of the latest development and training issues for executives, and what they need to move ahead with today's workforce; what it will take to succeed in leading organizations into the future.


About Amy:

Amy Ferris is the Senior National Consultant at Pearson TalentLens where she specializes in developing critical thinking skills of executives, managers and employees at all levels in an organization. With over 17 years of experience in Human Capital Management, in both the
private and public sectors, Amy has served as an expert in the development of customized training programs, team-building seminars, career development initiatives, leadership development, and selection and outplacement services. Her goal in working across these myriad human capital applications has been to create customized approaches to meet each
client’s specific needs.

Prior to working with Pearson, Amy served as the Mid-Atlantic & Federal Government Regional Consultant for CPP, Inc, a respected world-wide publisher and provider of innovative assessments (e.g. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), Strong Interest Inventory® and the FIRO-B™). In 2006, she launched their Federal Government Division, helping to obtain their GSA Number, and became their first consultant dedicated to the Federal Government. She has also gained experience in developing/implementing Executive Programs and Assessment Centers while working at The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) and Korn Ferry (formerly PDI Ninth House).

Her skills include building and nurturing relationships, clinical/behavioral performance, talent assessment, high
potential development, recruitment/staffing, leadership effectiveness, training and facilitation and delivery of
consulting services. Amy has a passion for helping people develop their self-awareness, professionally and
personally, to maximize the positive impact they have on their peers, colleagues and organization.  Amy holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Austin Peay State University and Bachelor’s Degree in
Family Sciences from the University of Maryland. She is a native of the Washington DC Metropolitan Area and
lives in Maryland with her family.
